Woman walks into her own funeral, exposing her husband, who had paid to have her killed



 Noela Rukundo, gave her husband, Balenga Kalala, (pictured above) the shock of a life time when she  turned up at her own funeral, days after he had hired hitmen to have her killed while she was away at her step-mothers funeral.

Rukundo (pictured below) said she had met her husband 11 years earlier, right after she arrived in Australia from Burundi. He was a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and they had the same social worker at the resettlement agency that helped them get on their feet.

Obasanjo Prostrates

Obasanjo, who was at the Ooni's palace in Ile-Ife yesterday to pay homage, was received by prominent traditional rulers in Ile-Ife.
As a sign of respect, Obasanjo, who wore his Yoruba regalia, stepped in with other prominent personalities and prostrated before the Ooni,Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Military authorities in the Country have warned groups (Biafra agitators) or unpatriotic elements threatening to make the country ungovernable because of their narrow interests, to have a rethink and desist from such, as the armed forces were fully mobilized and ready to crush acts of sabotage.

The planned peaceful demonstration by medical practitioners in Imo State turned sour  yesterday, after a Consultant Family Physician in the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, Dr. Bende Azudialo, was allegedly shot in the head by a policeman. During a press conference in Owerri.



Lassa Fever: Ogun State Governmaent Shut Down Hospitals.

A woman(unidentified) who recently traveled to Ebonyi state for a burial on January 8 has been hospitalized after she developed a fever on the few days after she returned to Ogun state. Incidentally, the first two hospitals where the28 year old woman was first hospitalized has been shut down by the state government until further notice. 

The Commissioner for Health, Babatunde Ipaye, broke the news at a briefing yesterday at the Oke – Mosan Governor’s Office, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Nigerians Will Starve To Death By 2050





According to the Federal Government, the present way of farming will not sustain the growing population of the country. The presidency has raised an alarm that at the rate the country is growing, the population will be up to 509million by the year 2050 and at this rate, Nigerians will starve to death if nothing is done to ensure an all year round farming in the country.

Market leaders to serve as anti-rape ambassadors

 



The Lagos state government has recruited over 400 market leader to serve as ambassadors against rape and other gender based domestic violence.

The coordinator of Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, DSVR, Mrs Vivour Adeniyi while speaking to market leaders said explained that the move was aimed at reducing rape and other gender based sexual violence in the state.

Man Arrested for stealing Bridge rails in Lagos

Musa Inusa a member of a 3-man syndicate which specialized in stealing bridge rails across the state , was arrested by the Lagos operatives of the rapid response squad. According to the commander, ACP Olatunji Disu, Musa Inusa, was arrested on September 14, 2015 at about 2:30 am around Costain area of Lagos, while stealing rails with two other members of his gang who escaped.

Annunciation Catholic Church Kubwa Abuja Raided by Robbers

According to the parish priest Rev. Fr. Matthew Kwaggas, the robbers stormed the church after Sunday's mass and carted away most of the items used for thanksgiving including bags of rice, and drinks.

According to  the chairman of NAHCON (National Haji commission of Nigeria), Abdullahi Mukhtar, 14 pilgrims died from cardiac arrest and other aliments while 6 others died from the September 11th crane crash accident. He said all the pilgrims that submitted valid documents to the commission for visa were airlifted to Saudi Arabia for the pilgrimage.

Passengers burnt to death in car crash

 



        Eighteen people lost their lives in the accident which occurred alon the Ondo//Ore Expressway at Igushin town in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State yesterday September 15th.
According an Eye witness, the accident which involved a white Mazda eighteen-sitter bus carrying passengers from Lagos, and a truck, happened due to the recklessness of both drivers.

The Four kids whose throats were slit by their father finally buried



Remember the four boys who were killed by their father while their mother listened? If you missed it read here The boys, Bokang Kekana, 13, Keneilwe Kekana, 10, Hlologelo Kekana, 6, and Lekgoledi Kekana, 4 were all laid to rest on Friday, 11th September after a joint funeral service was held in their honour. However their father who tried to commit suicide after killing his children survived.
