An 8 year old boy (name withheld), who was returning from his summer lesson classes on Monday was kidnapped by a man who has been identified as Jonathan Cooker.
The suspect allegedly picked up the boy on his way back from a school located along Lawrence road and took him to a shop located on cole street.
He then ordered for crates of drinks worth N51,000.
But instead of paying, he told the shop owner that he didn't have enough money on him to pay for the drinks. Lol people are just amazing.
So by claiming he didn't have money to pay for the drinks, he told the shop owner to hold on to his little brother(the kidnapped kid) while he(the suspect) goes home to get the money.
The shop owner not suspecting any foul play agreed to this arrangement and held on to the little boy.
Luck unfortunately ran out on the kidnapper when a passer-by recognized the boy sitting in the shop and ask what he doing there.
At that moment, Cooker reportedly increased his pace in a bid to escape from the scene . But he was immediately apprehended when the little boy told the passer-by that he was picked by the stranger walking away.
The boy has since been reunited with his family.
