Man gets only six months imprisonment for abducting a 3-year-old boy

 

That's a lenient judgment if you ask me.
Kabiru Salisu was on Wednesday, arraigned before a Mina magistrate court on a two count charge of trespassing and abduction.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Alfred Auta,
he said the case was reported to the Agaie police station by Baba Abubakar, on may 16th' the day the accused trespassed  into Baba Abubakar's compound and abducted the child.

Presiding over the matter, Magistrate Amina Musa said that abduction was a serious crime  that would have brought agony to the child’s parents. She however gave the accused a reduced sentence of six months imprisonment without an option of fine for showing remorse over his crime.
